A site visit tells you things a brochure and a sales call can't — whether construction is genuinely on the marketed timeline, what the actual unit experience is like, and whether access to the site matches what's described. This checklist covers what to check while there.
What to check on site
Bring a phone camera and take dated photos of everything below.
Construction progress vs. marketed timeline
Compare what's actually built against the delivery date you've been quoted — a project claiming delivery within a year should show visibly advanced construction, not early-stage groundwork.
Finishing quality sample
If a model or sample unit is shown, check it's representative of what you're actually buying, not an upgraded showcase — ask directly whether the sample matches your unit's finishing specification exactly.
Noise and view from the actual unit floor
A ground-floor or lower-floor unit can have a very different noise and view experience from an upper-floor unit in the same building — visit the actual floor and, if possible, the actual unit, not just a similar one elsewhere in the project.
Access roads status
Check whether the roads shown in marketing materials as connecting the project are actually built and usable today, or still planned — this matters most for newer-area projects where road infrastructure may lag the buildings themselves.
Surrounding construction and long-term site plan
Ask what else is planned to be built nearby and when — a currently quiet, open view can change once neighboring plots develop, and it's worth knowing that risk before buying a unit specifically for its current view.

Frequently asked questions
Should I visit before or after reserving a unit?
Before, if at all possible u2014 a site visit can reveal information that changes your decision, and it's much easier to walk away before a reservation payment than after.
What if I can't visit in person before deciding?
Ask the project for recent, dated site photos or video and be explicit that you want to see current construction progress, not renders u2014 and treat a remote decision as higher-risk than an in-person one, weighing that into your timeline.
Is it normal for construction to look behind schedule on a first visit?
Not necessarily abnormal, but it's worth asking the sales team to explain the gap against the quoted delivery date directly rather than assuming it will simply catch up.
Does Cairo Key organize site visits?
Cairo Key can help arrange contact with a project's sales team via WhatsApp for a visit; the visit itself and its findings are for the buyer to evaluate independently.
Prices and availability must be reconfirmed before reservation.
